It's on.

I'm starting the push-up challenge again! I loved the improvement I saw a few months ago after I did it the first time, and now that the holidays are over and it's a new year, I'm trying it again to see how much better I can do. I want to hit 90-100 by the end of this year!

The last time (a few months ago) I tried this, I had others join in to compete. I'm going to do this in cycles (do the program, off for a couple weeks, do the program, off for a couple weeks) until I reach my goal. Any takers who want to compete??

My initial test: 15 push-ups (sad, since my final number at the end last time was 33)

I think I'm in. I slacked since doing the last one, so I'm probably at a low starting point. I'll let you know. I'll talk Rob into doing it, too!

LMAO! I failed the first time. GAH! I don't know if I want to roll with it again . . .hmmmm I'll have to think about it ;-)

Hmm, this is an interesting one that I see quite often. Why is it that a high quantity of push-ups are so important?

I hope folks are still focusing on all areas of fitness and not just push-ups. Not to knock push-ups, of course. They are great for upper body and core. But, not much for the lower body. Maybe add at least 100 squats along with this goal.

@ Coach Jenn -- thanks for your input. Personally, doing the challenge helps me build towards something with my chest muscles and that portion of my routine. I still continue to focus on every other muscle group in my body.

Plus, I've always wanted to be able to do a bunch of push-ups in a row. :)
